Amon Carter Museum of American Art will celebrate the museum’s fiftieth anniversary this Saturday, with the Amon Carter 50 Fest.
The event is child-friendly and will feature opportunities to create your own art, blow bubbles, and hula hoop on the plaza. Hot dogs and ice cream will also be available.
There will be live music by the Marshall Ford Swing Band and Del Castillo.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to cast their votes for the 50 Fest Cake Challenge to choose the ultimate Amon Carter anniversary cake.
In preparation for 50 Fest, the museum will close at 3 p.m. Saturday. It will reopen at 5:30 p.m. for the community celebration and will remain open until 9 p.m.
