Either Clint Chelf or Wes Lunt will play quarterback for Oklahoma State Saturday after starter J.W. Walsh suffered a knee injury against Iowa State. Lunt, who opened the season as the starter, suffered an injury in the third game of the season and has not played since.

Quarterbacks:

Wes Lunt, freshman

Wes Lunt threw for 588 yards and four touchdowns on 75 pass attempts in the first three games of the season. He completed 68 percent of his passes, including 11-for-11 in the season opener against Savannah State.  Lunt set a Big 12 and Oklahoma State freshman-record 436 passing yards against Arizona.  

Clint Chelf, junior

Clint Chelf has played in two games this season. He completed four passes for a total of 51 yards, an interception and a touchdown. Chelf threw for a season-high 42 yards against Louisiana.

Josh Stewart, wide receiver, sophomore

Josh Stewart leads Oklahoma State receivers with 42 receptions. He has accounted for more than 25 percent of the Cowboys’ receptions. Stewart grabbed 13 receptions for 89 yards against Iowa State. The Denton native has 454 yards on the season and three touchdowns. Stewart is averaging seven receptions and 75.7 yards per game. Either quarterback will likely target Stewart early and often.

Daytawion Lowe, safety, junior

Daytawion Lowe had an interception and five tackles against Iowa State last week. Lowe, theCowboys’ leading tackler in 2011, has a team-high 32 tackles and two forced turnovers this season. Lowe and the Cowboy defense will have their work cut out for them with a diverse TCU passing game that has totaled eight touchdowns through the air in the last two games. Oklahoma State is allowing 24.2 points per game and 365.8 yards of total offense.
