TCU Women’s basketball team is scheduled to appear on television 14 times during regular season, including two national appearances.
The Horned Frogs will play a total of 29 regular season games, and eight of them will be aired on their home court.
Coach Jeff Mittie is prepared for a good start to the season with this announcement.
"This is huge for our program with the added exposure in the metroplex and across the country,” Mittie said.
Three of the Frogs’ games will air on Fox Sports Southwest, including contests against Houston, Georgia and Iowa State.
TCU will also appear on national television in 2013 on Fox Sports Net. Its national broadcast debut will be Jan. 27, at Texas Tech University. The team’s next national broadcast will be against the University of Texas, which the Frogs will play at home on Feb. 2.
The Frogs are starting out strong with national coverage and a strong season lineup, including Baylor, who won the 2012 national championship.
“The platforms that we will appear on throughout the season will benefit every aspect of our program immensely,” Mittie said.
The Horned Frogs’ 2012-13 season tips off Wednesday, Nov. 7 with an exhibition against East Central University at 7 p.m. CT from Daniel-Meyer Coliseum.
