Point: New clothing line makes religion trendy

Point: New clothing line makes religion trendy

“‘OMG is Awesome’ is the next WWJD for the Christian retail market,” a press release by PRWeb reports. As a kid, I can remember exactly what the WWJD bracelets looked like, honestly I could probably find one or two stuck somewhere in my room at home from years ago.

Why is it when we are faced with being open in our faith and belief in God in conversation we tend to back down, but if we have a bracelet that we can wear, then suddenly everyone is wearing them. Believing and being a Christian almost instantaneously becomes the “cool” thing to do.

This new clothing line designed by Christian entrepreneur B. Russell, was not exactly what he had in mind when he decided to start his own business.

He says he came up with the idea while watching TV. He kept hearing people say “Oh my God” and decided they needed to add, “is awesome.”

He took a well-known saying most Christians are not in favor of and made it into something worth saying, something worth remembering and hopefully, something worth buying.

I think this will get him more attention than had he given it a more generic name.

He wants this new brand to inspire Christians all over the world to share their faith and be bold.

I’m always looking for new fashion trends, even if I can’t afford them. This new trend was news to me; I had never heard of anything like it. Russell’s new brand has incredible potential if he can get the word spread well enough.

The wonderful part about this clothesline is it has something for everyone. It isn’t tailored to one gender more than another or one social class more than another.

It has everything from T-shirts to baseball caps, and its main goal is “saving lives and bringing people to know Christ,” according to the press release.

This up and coming company has a growing market to target and if they get the right kind of attention, I think it could soar.

Christians all over the world are always looking for new and different ways to show people the way to happiness outside of using words.

In the Christian faith, actions truly do speak louder than words. This clothing line could become an asset to Christians all over the world.

Not only is this a great way to look fashionable while advertising you are a believer, but 10 percent of all proceeds go to organizations that “help enrich and strengthen the lives of fellow man,” according to a company press release.

Russell is not only about making money to support himself, but he is generously donating 10 percent of everything he makes to try to make this world a better and safer place to live in for future generations. How many companies do you see donating to help stop violence and promote love?

I logged on to OMG store and was pleasantly surprised by the merchandise available for sale. It is very modern and fashionable, and I would encourage all of my Christian readers and friends to check out Russell’s clothesline at www.omgisawesome.com.
