Sweet Nothings by Stephanie take Austin favorite north

When Stephanie Sproull planned her cupcake business, the young entrepreneur wanted to bring some of Austin’s weirdness to Fort Worth.

Sweet Nothings by Stephanie was modeled after Austin’s Hey Cupcake! food cart.

Sophomore Kristin Justice said she would take advantage of the food cart’s convenient style.

Sproull has baked since she was young, when she developed her love and inspiration for the hobby from her mother.

“[She] inspired me to start doing my own creative thinking as far as baking,” she said.

Sophomore strategic communication major Taylor Jackson said the cupcakes had good texture. She said there was just enough icing so as not to overpower the cake.

“They’re amazing,” Justice said.

Sproull said her favorite part of making the cupcakes is decorating them.

“[You get to} choose how you want to shape your frosting and what you want to put on it just to make it look pretty,” she said.

Sproull is still in the market for a food cart but is planning for more progress in the next year.
