Frosch, Griffin, Teague and Young sign with NFL teams

Four more former TCU football players have now signed with NFL teams, according to a release from TCU athletics.

Tight end Evan Frosch signed with the Cleveland Browns, nose tackle Kelly Griffin was picked up by the San Diego Chargers, cornerback Jason Teague will stay close to home with the Houston Texans, and wide receiver Jimmy Young will join the Chicago Bears.

Frosch started all four years on offense, and was twice named as an honorable mention on the All- Mountain West conference team, according to gofrogs.com.

Griffin was also a four-year starter under head coach Gary Patterson. He was an honorable-mention Freshman All-American by The Sporting News. Griffin missed the last five games of the 2010 season after suffering an injury on Oct. 23 against Air Force, according to gofrogs.com.

Teague started all 13 games in the 2010 season, as was a second-team All-Mountain West Conference selection, and was a member of the All-JC-Transfer Team. Teague originally attended Tyler Junior College before transferring to TCU, according to gofrogs.com.

Young played in all 52 games over the past four seasons. He finished his time at TCU at second all-time receiving yards, behind only former Dallas Cowboy Mike Renfro. Young also finished fifth all-time in career receptions, according to gofrogs.com.

Overall, 11 players from the 2010 senior class have been drafted by or have signed with an NFL team, and 24 former Horned Frogs are currently on NFL rosters.
