Single game tickets to be sold Thursday morning

Single game tickets to be sold Thursday morning

Frog fans can purchase a limited amount of single game football tickets on Thursday at 8 a.m.

“The Big 12 demand is at an insanely all-time high,” Deron Irons, assistant ticket manager, said. “With the record high of season ticket sales, that’s also going to change up the numbers.”

The quantity will vary for each home game and the exact number of tickets available will not be released until Wednesday afternoon, Irons said.

These tickets are the leftovers from the opposing team’s sales and from a buffered amount of tickets set aside while the stadium was being built. The buffered amount was a safety net for the Ticket Office to be sure the projected number of seats matched up with the finished stadium seat count.

Ticket renewals for 2011 season ticket holders began in early March. Fans were assigned a date and time to select their seats in the newly renovated Amon G. Carter Stadium.

The fans on the waitlist were also accommodated by early August, Irons said.

Purchasers need to use the special code “FROGS” to buy the tickets online.
