Four is a big number this week for TCU Volleyball.

It’s the Frogs’ ranking in the Big 12 standings. The number of Big 12 games TCU will have under its belt after facing the Longhorns. The number of consecutive seasons in which the Frogs will have battled the Longhorns.

And, if everything goes according to plan for the home team, it’ll go in the record books as the number of times the Frogs fell to the ‘Horns in those four seasons.

TCU’s fourth Big 12 match sends the Frogs to Austin to face No. 9 UT, a team they have yet to beat. UT is 4-0 in conference play in 2012, putting them first in Big 12 standings.

Coming off a loss to No. 19 Iowa State on Saturday, Coach Prentice Lewis said the Frogs (13-3) are more determined to beat UT (11-3).

“To play a No. 19 team and then a No. 9 team is great,” Lewis said. “That’s exactly the kind of volleyball we want to be playing.”

The first serve is set for 7 p.m. Wednesday at UT’s Gregory Gymnasium.

The Longhorn Network will broadcast the game, available nationally on AT&T U-Verse channels 609 and 1609. FrogVision will provide audio and video of the game to users with a CBS Sports All-access subscription.
