TCU volleyball seeks redemption against Baylor

After losing a close match to Baylor earlier this season, TCU volleyball is ready for round two.

The Frogs take on the Bears for the second time this season on Wednesday, and tensions are high after a close loss in the last matchup between the two teams.

TCU fell 3-2 (25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 25-19, 15-13) to Baylor in Waco on October 17. Coach Prentice Lewis said the loss felt like “a dagger in the side” for many of the players.

“A lot of these girls grew up playing on the same club teams, so many of them know each other,” Lewis said. “We don’t like to lose, but losing to Baylor in five matches was especially tough.”

Lewis said the team watched a lot of video on Baylor volleyball to prepare for Wednesday’s match.

“We know what to expect from Baylor now,” setter Megan Munce said. “We have more confidence knowing we can take them.”

Wednesday’s game will be bumped up from the usual 6:30 p.m. start time to 5 p.m. so the game can be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest.
