Womens basketball takes on the Houston Cougars on Sunday

After dropping its first four contests of the season, Houston rides into Fort Worth as the winner of three straight games.

The Horned Frogs have controlled the series between the two Texas schools lately, blowing out Houston last season by a score of 80-35.

A victory for TCU would make five straight over the Cougars.

Freshman Zahna Medley comes into the game with a hot hand, netting nine 3-pointers against SMU in the Frogs' most recent outing.

Medley's 3-point barrage tied the program record, set by Amy Sutton Porter in 1999, and fell one short of tying the all-time Big 12 record held by three players.

Junior Latricia Lovings is also riding momentum into Sunday's game. Lovings grabbed a career-high 13 rebounds against SMU, her third straight game with double-digit rebounds.

Senior point guard Porshe Landry leads Houston in both scoring and assists with averages of 16.4 points and 3.0 assists per game.

Landry was granted a fifth year of eligibility after her 2011-2012 season was ended after three games due to injury.

Landry is one of four Houston players to record at least 1,000 points and 300 assists in her career.

Neither coach was available for comments.

The game will be broadcast on Fox Sports Southwest.

Tipoff is at 2 p.m.
