The TCU women’s golf team added sophomore transfer Kortnie Maxoutopoulis to the team.
A transfer from Rutgers, Maxoutopoulis will be eligible to play for the Frogs in the spring. She was an All-Big East Conference selection as a freshman last season. She had seven top-10 finishes and two tournament championships.
Maxoutopoulis played in all nine tournaments for the Scarlet Kinghts in 2011-12 and led the team with a 76.8 stroke average. She won her first collegiate tournament with a 214 (70-73-71) at the Bucknell Invitational.
The Pleasanton, Calif., native was a four-time first-team All-East Bay Athletic League selection at Foothill High School. She earned first place at the 2010 Northern California Golf Association, NGCA, Players Championship and was second at the 2010 NCGA Junior Championship.
Maxoutopoulis was ranked 115th nationally in junior golf for the class of 2011 with a 2.77 scoring differential. She placed third at the 2010 First Tee Open at Pebble Beach with partner Tom Kite.
She had a 4.0 GPA in high school and will be a member of the John V. Roach Honors College at TCU.
