The autopsy in the death of Thomas Boone Pickens IV has been completed, and the cause of death is pending a toxicology report, a Tarrant County Medical Examiner spokeswoman said Wednesday.  

The toxicology report should be completed in four weeks, Lisa Anderson said.

The results of the report will detail what was in Pickens’ system at the time of his death, Anderson said.

Pickens, 21, who was a junior strategic communication major at TCU, was pronounced dead at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at Baylor All Saints Medical Center, according to medical examiner records.

He was the grandson of Texas oil magnate T. Boone Pickens.

Police were dispatched after receiving a report of a dead person at an off-campus location Tuesday morning. Police said Pickens was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
