The TCU Spring Sale is scheduled to return on April 6 after a one-year hiatus due to stadium construction.

The university’s spring game is cancelled for the second year in a row, but the sale will go on as planned. In the past, the sale was held at the Dee J. Kelly Alumni Center, but at the time, this year’s location has not been released.

The sale gives fans the opportunity to purchase merchandise and apparel from the Horned Frogs’ various sports teams, Jackie Torda, assistant athletic director of marketing, said in a recent statement. Past sales included football jerseys, shoes and other official team equipment.

The athletic department is currently auctioning off items from the school’s first season in the Big 12. Items available for auction this week include street banners of various football players from the 2012 season, a replica of Amon G. Carter Stadium and a basketball net used during the Horned Frogs’ first-ever wins in their new conference, according to the website.

“The online auctions are a great way for the athletics department to offer TCU fans authentic gear, game-day experience packages and other unique merchandise and TCU paraphernalia,” Torda said. “We like to give our fans opportunities, and utilizing the auctions is a great way to do so.”

Proceeds from items purchased or won at the auction help fund the TCU Athletics Department.
