The No. 35-ranked Horned Frogs improved to 15-2 on the year and 4-0 in Big 12 play. The Wildcats, ranked 48th, slipped to 7-7 and 1-3.

K-State took an early lead with a 1-0 lead with wins at Nos. 1 and 2 doubles. After the Wildcats won at No. 2, Gabi Barbosa and Monika Sirilova were 8-6 winners over Carmen Borau Ramos and Ana Gomez on the third doubles court.

 "I was disappointed a little on how we started," said head coach Dave Borelli. "I think if we gotta win the double point if we wanna win the rest of the matches past this weekend.

At No. 1, TCU’s Olivia Smith and Stefanie Tan went up against K-State’s 37th-ranked duo of Karla Bonacic and Petra Niedermayerova the whole way, but fell 9-7 to give KSU a 1-0 lead.

Kelsey Sundaram got the Frogs on the board for the first time with her 7-5, 6-2 dismissal of Gomez Aleman at No. 6 singles.

Sirilova gave TCU its first lead of the day at 2-1 with her 6-2, 6-4 win over Borau Ramos. The win extended her winning streak to eight matches and upped her Big 12 mark to 4-0.

Simona Parajova continued the Frog rally with a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win against Kubickova.

Federica Denti picked up her first win in Big 12 when she clinched the match for TCU by beating Amina St. Hall, 6-2, 6-3, at No. 4 singles.

No. 71-ranked Stefanie Tan closed out the match with her biggest win of the season, dropping the 11th-ranked Niedermayerova, 6-4, 3-6, 6-2 on the top singles court.

K-State picked up its lone singles win at No. 2 after the match was clinched.

""The kids did a good job at singles," said Borelli. "Every match is tough but they competed well."
