TCU men’s basketball head coach Trent Johnson announced the Frogs’ latest signee Thursday: 7-foot-1 center Link Kabadyundi.

Kabadyundi competed at Alma Academy in Quebec last season and averaged 10 points and 12 rebounds per game, according to a press release.

The Montreal, Canada native also averaged 3.5 blocks during his senior year and competed for Team Canada at the 2013 Nike Global Challenge.

TCU’s latest signee has plenty of basketball genes to go along with his size. Kabayundi’s father played for Zaire while his brother now plays professionally abroad, according to Hoops Hype Canada.

With center Aaron Durley leaving basketball, Kabadyundi is expected to be the tallest player on the team come November, barring any last-minute signees.

The Frogs went 9-22 last season with a 0-18 record in Big 12 play.
