TCU 360: Police arrest man found hiding in TCU residence hall closet

Police have arrested the man who is accused of hiding in a residence hall closet on Friday Nov. 7.

TCU police Sgt. Kelly Ham said the man, Tuanphatt Du, confessed to burglarizing the room in Milton Daniel Hall that day, as well as a room in Sherley Hall back in September.

According to a crime alert sent to students Friday night, the suspect hid in a closet in a female student's room. Nothing was reported missing.

Ham said Du, 25, graduated from TCU in 2012. Ham also said the suspect had no connection to anyone in the residence hall.

Ham said Du entered the residence halls by following students who had access to the building.

Du's bail is set at $100,000. He does not have a criminal history in Texas, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

According to a 2011 Skiff article, Du was a graphic design major from Vietnam.
