B.J. Catalon hasn’t played in three weeks, but that hasn’t stopped him from gaining national media attention.
The junior running back was named a finalist for the Paul Hornung Award, given to the nation’s most versatile college football player.
Catalon has a team-best 12 touchdowns and is one of two players in college football to score a rushing, receiving and kickoff return touchdown.
He leads the Horned Frogs with 113.8 all-purpose yards per game.
Former Frog Jeremy Kerley was a finalist for the award in 2010.
Catalon has been replaced by junior tailback Aaron Green in the last two weeks, and is eyeing a return against Texas in the Thanksgiving night game.
