A club is bringing Christian women together at TCU and colleges around the country.

Men’s, women’s tennis teams advance to indoor championships

The TCU men’s and women’s tennis teams beat both Texas A&M tennis teams at the 2015 ITA National Kick-Off Weekend to secure spots in this year’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association’s Team Indoor Championships.

The No. 41 women’s tennis team upset the No. 11 Aggies 4-2 to advance to the tournament for the first time in program history.

Before that, the Horned Frogs (3-0) will head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama to play Alabama on Jan. 31 at 5 p.m. The ITA National Team Indoor Championships are Feb. 6-9 in Charlottesville, Virginia.

The No. 37 men’s tennis team also notched a 4-2 win over the Aggies on Saturday. The Horned Frogs (3-0) then defeated No. 45 LSU 4-1 on Sunday.

For the first time since 2001, the team will compete at the ITA National Team Indoor Championships in Chicago, Illinois on Feb. 12.

The Frogs will play a home match on Feb. 6 at 5:30 p.m. against New Mexico before heading to the championships.
