School closures, delays continue into Tuesday

Ever since the Frogs beat Nevada-Las Vegas 51-3 in their last regular season football game, every TCU fan has wondered one thing: What bowl game are we going to?As the rumors flew – talk of the Las Vegas Bowl, the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, La., the Liberty Bowl in Memphis, Tenn., the Houston Bowl and even the Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla., circulated – we all expected an invitation and an announcement any day.

The long weekend for Fort Worth students just got longer.
Fort Worth ISD announced Monday evening that all of its schools will be closed Tuesday, February 24, due to icy road conditions.
While sleet and freezing rain have largely left the Dallas-Fort Worth area, officials say roads around Fort Worth remain slick and dangerous.
“Any ice on area roadways will likely remain in place through Tuesday afternoon when melting may begin to occur,” according to the National Weather Service.
Fort Worth Police tweeted that there have been 237 accidents and stranded vehicles from 9 p.m. Monday to 4 p.m. Tuesday.
TCU will open later in the day at noon. All classes before noon are cancelled. All Tarrant County College campuses will be closed.
Schools not in FWISD, such as Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts and Fort Worth Country Day, will also be closed tomorrow.
Saint Andrew Catholic School also announced they will be closed later that night.
