TCU (17-12, 9-9 Big 12) fell to Texas (20-9, 9-9 Big 12) in the Frogs’ final regular season game by the final score of 79-45.

The Longhorns took an early 15-4 lead in the first half, but the Frogs were able to chip away at the deficit to cut the Texas lead to 21-20 with 3:04 left before halftime.

Texas stormed back in the second half with a seven-minute 15-1 run to push the Longhorns’ lead to 60-33 to put the game out of reach.

TCU shot 28 percent from the field and only connected on three 3-pointers.

Junior Zahna Medley led the Frogs in scoring in 16 points while sophomore Kelsey Lang led the way for the Longhorns with 20 points and 10 rebounds.

The loss means the Longhorns and the No. 3 seeded Frogs will play again at 8:30 p.m. Saturday at the Big 12 Tournament at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
