Cafe to be featured in new trailhead fitness center

Press Café will be a new restaurant included in the Trailhead Cycling and Fitness Center scheduled to open in the fall. The Fitness Center will also feature Mellow Johnny’s Bike Shop and a Indoor/Outdoor Fitness Studio in addition to the cafe.
Press Café will serve a fresh menu that matches the casual and healthy lifestyle of the Trinity Trails and the Trailhead according to a press release.
Angelica Cofoid, coordinator for marketing and events for Edwards Ranch 1848, said that the location is a great place because they are, “In the heart of Fort Worth with the new tollway.”
The new tollway that Cofoid is talking about is the Chisholm Trail Parkway. The Chisholm Trail Parkway is a 27.6-mile toll road that extends from downtown Fort Worth to Cleburne.
Cofoid also said that the area is “surrounded by great neighborhoods and a desirable area.” The location of the Trailhead Cycling and Fitness Center is “very walkable for local neighborhoods,” she said.
Cofoid expects a “combination of both” when it comes to people who will drive to the location and walk or bike to the location from the Trinity River.
“Fort Worth is embracing the river and getting outdoors,” she said.
The menu will include breakfast burritos, morning pastries, fresh pressed juices and Avoca Coffee during breakfast hours according to a press release. Sandwiches, contemporary salads and seasonal entree selections will be on the lunch and dinner menu. The trailside cafe and rooftop bar will offer a selection of wine, beer, and a full bar.
Cofoid said she doesn’t think the cafe will host large concerts or have a late night bar, however, they may have more relaxed, acoustic type events.
Local Chef Felipe Armenta will be leading the culinary aspects of Press Café, according to a press release. “I really want to bring a conscious element to the menu with a focus on where our food comes from and utilizing the best produce of the season,” Armenta said in a press release.
Press Cafe will be open daily from 7 am to 11 pm on Tuesday through Sunday.
