The Horned Frogs fell to No. 4 in the AP Poll rankings Sunday afternoon, getting jumped by the University of Utah for the No. 3 spot. The Frogs did however maintain their No. 3 ranking in USA Today’s Amway Coaches Poll.
The Frogs soundly defeated Iowa State 45-21 in Ames, Iowa, Saturday night, but the undefeated Utes also posted a convincing victory, defeating Arizona State 34-18 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Utah however remained at No. 7 in the coaches poll, a stark contrast to their AP Poll ranking.
Ohio State and Baylor, both undefeated, maintained the No. 1 and 2 rankings in both polls, respectively. The Buckeyes defeated Penn State 38-10 in Columbus, Ohio, while the Bears defeated West Virginia 62-38 in Waco.
Elsewhere around the Big 12, undefeated Oklahoma State jumped to No. 14 in the AP Poll and No. 12 in the coaches poll, despite having a bye week. Oklahoma jumped to No. 17 in the AP Poll and No. 15 in the coaches poll after a 55-0 thrashing of Kansas State in Manhattan, Kansas.
