Women’s golf wraps up fall season in San Antonio

The Frogs finished sixth at the Alamo Invitational, their last tournament for the Fall of 2015.

The TCU women’s golf team ended its fall season with a sixth place finish Tuesday at the Alamo Invitational in San Antonio.

The Horned Frogs shot 886, 28 strokes behind first place Florida’s 858.

Sophomore Emmy Martin was the Frogs’ low scorer for the tournament. Her 218 secured a tie for 12th place individually, her second top-12 finish of the five tournament season.

First-year player Brooke Graebe tied for 18th individually with a 219, finishing play one stroke behind Martin. It was Graebe’s fourth top 20 finish of the season.

First-year player Annika Clark posted her second straight 73 and set the low score on the final day for the Frogs.

Junior Kelly McGovern shot a 75 in the final round after birdieing two of her opening four holes.

The Frogs will begin their spring season Feb. 14, when they travel to the Lady Puerto Rico Classic in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.
