Update: At 6:32 p.m. the disruption that caused inbound telephone calls to not be received has been resolved.

Technical Services said in an email that the outage will continue to be monitored.

The disruption to inbound telephone service to the university at 4:09 p.m. caused the police to direct telephone calls to an alternative number Thursday afternoon.

An email earlier in the afternoon from Kathy Cavins-Tull, the vice chancellor for student affairs, told students using a cellular telephone or “a line external to the university” to dial 817.207.9345 if they need to contact police.

An email from Technical Services described the outage as campuswide.
