Junior Anna Walsh was named to the All-Big 12 Volleyball Second Team, the lone Horned Frog honored by the conference.

“Anna has carried a big load for our team this season and has put up some pretty big numbers for her position,” director of volleyball Jill Kramer said

Walsh led the team in points, blocks and kills. She also had team-leading averages of 2.82 kills per set and 1.03 blocks per set.

In a match against Kansas State this season, Walsh became the eighth player in TCU history to record a double-double of kills and blocks.

“After playing on the right side last season, she moved back to the middle and has been a dominant force in the Big 12,” Kramer said. “It’s nice to see her hard work be rewarded by the coaches in our league.”

TCU earned an at-large bid to the National Invitational Volleyball Championship and will play Wyoming at 4 p.m. on Thursday at the University of North Texas in Denton.
