TCU Soccer players Karitas Tomasdottir and Yazmeen Ryan were named to the preseason Big 12 All-Conference team Wednesday.

Tomasdottir, one of eight returning seniors, started all 22 matches last season and tallied four goals and one assist. She was named second-team all region at the end of the season.

Ryan, a sophomore, also started all 22 games her freshman season and tallied four goals and five assists. Her 13 points were third on the team. She was named second team all Big 12 and a member of the conferences All-Freshman team.

Both Tomasdottir and Ryan will look to help the Horned Frogs build on last season’s 12-7-3 performance, which ended in a first round NCAA tournament loss to Arizona.

The teams first game of the season is Friday August 17 against Alabama. It is set to start at 7:00 p.m. at the Garvey Rosenthal Soccer Stadium.
