theEnd has Fridays and Saturdays booked through the semester with acts and activities that include comedians, movie showings and celebrity appearances.

The student organization plans to put on over 17 events this semester.
This Friday, former SNL cast member Jay Pharoah is set to perform at 10 p.m. in the Brown-Lupton University Union ballroom.
Haley Mittelstaedt, a junior pre-business major and one of the three student directors of theEnd, said the organization’s goal is to offer students a safe environment for entertainment during the weekend.
“We’re here to help create those friendships and those priceless opportunities that become lifelong, lasting memories,” Mittelstaedt said.
Friday shows usually bring on-stage talents to campus, such as Josh Peck, Chase Rice and Jay Pharoah.
Saturday shows are more diverse, including movie showings, a night at a Rangers baseball game or a virtual reality experience.
Kelly Lee, the student activities coordinator, said theEnd is not just an event organization, they also focus on the development of students.
“We are about leadership, development and really getting our students prepared for the real world when they leave and graduate from here,” Lee said.
Senior pre-health professions major Anders Erickson appreciates theEnd’s work on bringing trending artists to campus.
“When Chase Rice brought the freshman on stage with him, it brought in a lot more entertainment,” Erickson said. “It was a worthwhile experience that I was lucky enough to get to attend.”
