TCU women’s basketball ended a 37-game losing streak to No. 25 Baylor on Sunday, defeating the Bears 80-75 in front of 5,415 fans at Schollmaier Arena.
The victory marked TCU’s first win over Baylor since 1990 and pushed the Horned Frogs into sole possession of first place in the conference standings at the midway point of league play.
“This game means more than that. It’s been 34-35 years since TCU has beat Baylor, and this group wanted to be the one that broke the streak,” Campbell said. “These guys are built for it. They kind of love when there’s something that’s a first that hasn’t been done.”

Sedona Prince led TCU with 24 points, 14 rebounds and three blocks, recording her school-record seventh straight 20-point game. For Prince, who grew up watching Baylor’s dominance, the victory held special meaning.
“I grew up watching the Big 12 and from Austin, so I would go, when I was literally like seventh grade, watch Texas play Baylor…” Prince said. “Just seeing Baylor, that powerhouse school and team from a very long time… being here and doing this for TCU, it’s really special.”
Madison Conner added 21 points on 4-of-8 shooting from 3-point range, while Hailey Van Lith contributed 19 points and recorded her 500th career assists. Agnes Emma-Nnopu posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Horned Frogs never trailed, building a 9-0 lead in the opening minutes behind consecutive 3-pointers from Van Lith and Conner. TCU led by as many as 22 points midway through the third quarter. The Bears cut the deficit to three points with 26 seconds remaining, but Van Lith sealed the win by converting two free throws.
“We dropped one at Oklahoma State, but they’re really good,” Campbell said. “And so we learned a lot. It’s amazing. We had a tough film session, and these guys bounced back and had a great practice. They turned the page and were locked in for the scout, and they came out and had a historic win.”
TCU shot 51.9% from the field and made nine of 15 3-pointers while holding Baylor to 36.8% shooting. The Horned Frogs also dominated the glass, outrebounding the Bears 45-34. Sarah Andrews led Baylor with 21 points, while Aliyah Matharu added 14 off the bench.
