Correction: An earlier version of this article misstated a comment from TCU athletics. This story has been edited to correct the university statement.
TCU is not commenting on reports that women’s basketball player Sedona Prince was involved in an altercation at her off-campus home.
The reports of the Jan. 18 dispute come as the Frogs enter a critical stretch of the season and Prince finishes her final season.
The Star-Telegram reported that TCU Police responded to a disturbance call at Prince’s off-campus residence involving Prince and her ex-girlfriend. Both women filed reports with campus police, each alleging they were assaulted.
The ex-girlfriend was not identified in the police reports. TCU police referred the matter to Fort Worth police because it occurred off campus.
After reviewing evidence and statements, authorities determined that a physical altercation took place but noted inconsistencies in the accounts from both parties.
No charges were filed.
Both women are students at TCU, according to a TCU police report obtained by TCU 360. The incident was alcohol related, according to the report.
“The university is aware of the allegations involving one of our student-athletes and is looking into the matter,” said a spokesperson on behalf of Texas Christian University. “In accordance with federal privacy laws, the university does not comment on student conduct matters.”
In August 2024, Olivia Stabile, an ex-girlfriend of Prince’s, accused her of abuse during a trip to Mexico. Stabile’s viral TikTok videos detailing the alleged abuse led to a Change.org petition calling for Prince’s removal from the team, which gathered over 160,000 signatures.
No charges were filed in that case.
