
The TCU men’s tennis team gathered at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center and Bartzen Varsity Courts for a special celebration, commemorating its 2024 NCAA national championship victory with a long-awaited ring ceremony.
The event marked the culmination of months of dedication, perseverance and commitment to the sport. Players, coaches, staff and supporters came together to reflect on a historic season.
Excitement and pride filled the room as coaches called up each player to receive an NCAA championship ring, a symbol of their hard work and training.
Adding to the celebration, the premiere of a student-produced documentary on the team took place. Ella Hestand and her fellow students in the Sports Documentary Production class created the film as part of a class project.
The documentary featured highlights from the season and behind-the-scenes glimpses of the team’s journey. As the video played, emotions ran high, with many in the audience visibly moved.
Head tennis coach David Roditi shared his admiration for the team. “I’m just proud to be part of it and proud to keep it going,” Roditi said.
The Horned Frogs aim to defend their title and continue competing at the highest level. This is more than just a celebration of past success. The ring ceremony served as motivation for the challenges and opportunities ahead.
