Fort Worth pickleball and dining destination Courtside Kitchen is bringing back college night on Wednesdays.

Courtside Kitchen moved college night from Wednesday to Thursday, Dec. 27, 2024, in order to attract more students. Two months later, the establishment moved the weekly event back to Wednesday nights. They also removed the 21-and-up age restriction to increase attendance.
“I like that college night is on Wednesdays again,” Brandon Lim, a student at the University of Texas at Arlington, said. “It just lines up better with my class schedule.”
Courtside Kitchen offers all college students with a valid student ID free admission and gameplay, drink specials and discounted dining on Wednesday nights from 9 p.m. to midnight.
Dining options at Courtside Kitchen include nachos, fried mozzarella sticks, fries, wings and chicken strips. The event offers all students $2 off food.
Students 21 and up can get drink specials throughout the evening, including $3 wells, $12 buckets, $4 Miller Lite and $4 shots. Courtside Kitchen has nine courts, seven heated, plus dining, a beer garden and a live DJ on Wednesday nights.

The beer garden features a DJ booth, games such as cornhole and table tennis and an outdoor bar with mounted televisions. Students can watch live sports and socialize throughout the evening.
“I’ve never played pickleball before, but I love the social environment and being able to spend time with friends while making new ones,” Rodrigo Rodriguez, a student at the University of Texas at Dallas, said.
Courtside Kitchen offers guests the ability to borrow equipment such as paddles and balls. This gives guests with no experience in the sport the opportunity to play.
