Jungle Studio Fitness opened its first Tarrant County location three miles from the TCU campus and is offering exclusive student discounts.
The studio, which opened Feb. 17, hopes to “create a memorable experience and serene escape for members to unwind and better their minds,” Sierra Tuthill, the director of marketing at Exxir Capital, said. Exxir Capital is a commercial real estate company managing Jungle Studio Fitness.
Although the typical membership rate is $189 per month, Jungle is offering discounted rates to TCU students priced at $143 per month, Tuthill said. In addition to the student discount, Jungle is offering all TCU students a week of free classes.
Adopting a holistic approach to fitness, “Jungle’s design is tailored for the optimal workout experience,” Tuthill said.
The studio uses softer, warm-toned lighting and employs natural elements. This includes plants, salt rocks and earth tones to create an immersive experience that promotes mind-body connection.
Jungle specializes in heated workout classes, which incorporate infrared heating to help improve circulation, flexibility and muscle recovery. The studio offers heated Pilates, yoga with sound baths and strength and sculpt classes. Starting this summer, Jungle will offer heated reformer Pilates classes. These combine the use of resistance machines with Pilates concepts to provide a unique workout experience.
“Rather than filling spaces, Jungle creates places,” Tuthill said.
The studio’s mission is to create a memorable, welcoming environment that accommodates members at every stage of their fitness journey, she said. Its unique approach emphasizes mind-body connection, and the studio’s fitness classes promote a sense of community among members.
Tuthill, who is a 2017 TCU journalism graduate, wanted the studio within close proximity to campus to provide an escape from academic stress and an extension of finding community in Fort Worth.
The studio is located at 965 Foch St., just three miles from the TCU campus.
Looking forward, Jungle hopes to further connect with the TCU community and give every student the opportunity to experience a Jungle class.
