Student found dead near campus

Hailey Elaine Wolcott, a 24-year-old TCU student, was found dead in the bedroom of a house on Forest Park Boulevard at 4:26 p.m. Sunday, May 22.

According to a report from the Tarrant County Medical Examiner, the manner of death was ruled a suicide.

Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Don Mills notified students of the death in a campus-wide email Tuesday afternoon.

The medical examiner’s report ruled cause of death as suicide by gunshot wound to the head.

According to the TCU email system, Wolcott was a sociology student.
