Renovations to Amon G. Carter stadium are still scheduled to be finished in time for the Horned Frogs' season opener against Grambling State on Sept. 8.

Workers finished pouring concrete Tuesday on the east end of the stadium, completing the 'super structure' phase of construction, associate athletics director Ross Bailey said.

On the west side, completion of suites, locker rooms and press areas are underway and should be done by July 15, Bailey said. The entire process, including the renovation of the football team's locker room, is scheduled to be done by Sept. 1.
