TCU football to play home-and-home series with Ohio State

TCU and Ohio State will play a home-and-home football series in the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

The Buckeyes will make their first trip to Fort Worth when they come to Amon G. Carter Stadium on Sept. 15, 2018. The Horned Frogs will travel to Ohio Stadium in Columbus on Sept. 21, 2019.

The previous six meetings between the Horned Frogs and Buckeyes have all been in Columbus, the last being a 37-3 Ohio State victory in 1973.

“Competing against programs from the state of Texas has always offered exciting experiences for our players and fans,” Ohio State Director of Athletics Gene Smith said in a press release. “TCU continues to be one of the top football programs in the country.”

Ohio State holds a 4-1-1 series edge over TCU. The first meeting came in 1937. TCU’s only win in the series came in 1957.

TCU's last game versus a Big Ten opponent was a 21-19 victory over Wisconsin in the 2011 Rose Bowl.
