Most recently, the Van Cliburn Concert Hall, located in the TCU Music Center, hosted its first performance in the spring of 2022 after supply chain issues delayed construction during the COVID-19 lockdown. (Kyle Cornelison)

TCU has three concert halls with full schedules in April. These are the people that help make it all work.

A fumble recovery by Stansly Maponga and a subsequent 2-yard run by Matthew Tucker have highlighted a solid performance by the Horned Frogs against Texas, as TCU leads 14-3.

TCU’s offensive line has been in sync against the Texas defense, finding ways to give Matthew Tucker and B.J. Catalon multiple double-digit runs. The two have a combined 99 yards of rushing, with two touchdowns.

TCU’s defense has been bending, but not breaking, as head coach Gary Patterson likes to say. The defense allowed just 125 yards in the first half and caused three critical turnovers, which have kept TCU’s defense in control of the game.

Jason Verrett intercepted a David Ash pick on the TCU 6-yard line, effectively ending Texas’ opening 45-yard drive. TCU used that opportunity for a 94-yard drive, culminating in a 1-yard rush touchdown by Matthew Tucker.

Elisha Olabode killed a 62-yard drive for Texas with an interception on the 2-yard line.

TCU scored once more when Stansly Maponga set up the Horned Frog offense by picking up a David Ash drop. The fumble set up a drive that finished with a Matthew Tucker 2-yard run.

Penalties have been a had an influence on the game, including personal fouls by Devonte Fields and Jordan Moore. Seven penalties have occurred between the two teams, resulting in 73 total yards. TCU has four penalties for 50 yards.

The injury bug has not been kind to Texas, as two main starters have been banged up. Defensive end Alex Okafor was injured with a leg injury in the first and linebacker DeMarco Cobbs was carted off the field with a knee injury. While Okafor has returned to the field, Cobbs has not.

Quarterback Trevone Boykin threw for 47 yards and completed all four passing attempts. He also ran for 29 yards. The Longhorns had 82 yards through the air with 70 from David Ash and 12 by Case McCoy.
