TCU women’s tennis to host Kansas State

TCU womens tennis to host Kansas State

TCU women's tennis returns to Big 12 action Friday against Kansas State at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.

No. 35 TCU improved to 14-2 with a win Wednesday against former Southwest Conference rival No. 51 SMU.

The Horned Frogs have won all three matches against Kansas State with all meetings coming in Fort Worth. The last meeting was a 6-1 TCU win in 2007.

"I think this will be another opportunity to show what we have," head coach Dave Borelli said. "I have confidence we will do well tomorrow."

Kansas State is currently 7-6 overall and 1-2 in the Big 12.

"They are very tough and strong, but I have a lot of confidence," Borelli said. "I think we always do good when we have our backs to the wall."

Horned Frog MIllie Nichols suffered an injury and was forced to sit out during singles against SMU.

"We probably will be short-handed," Borelli said. "She really hurt herself, but we are waiting to see what her status is."

No. 48 Kansas State will make its 12-match road trip in Fort Worth and are currently on a three match winning streak.

Friday's match is set to begin at 2 p.m.
