Three TCU Horned Frogs will play with the Team USA baseball team in Japan this week after a completed roster was announced this past weekend.

Pitchers Riley Ferrell, Brandon Finnegan and Preston Morrison join TCU head coach Jim Schlossnagle as representatives for the team, which is comprised of the America's best NCAA baseball players.

Schlossnagle, who is serving as manager for the first time, said he considers the pitchers both great players and people.

Morrison, who led TCU's 2013 pitching rotation, went 7-3 with a 1.51 ERA. He held opposing hitters to a .267 batting average and he was selected as a first-team All-Big 12 player.

Finnegan, an All-Big 12 honorable mention, posted a 3.18 ERA and pitched two complete games for TCU in 2013. The lefty sophomore struck out 84 batters in 14 starts during the regular season.

Ferrell, a freshman reliever for TCU in 2013, had a 2.20 ERA in 32.2 innings pitched. The Big 12 All-Freshman honoree struck out 39 batters and held opponents scoreless in 18 out of his 23 season appearances.

Texas Longhorns shortstop C.J Hinojosa, who collected eight straight on-base at-bats against TCU in May, is the only other Big 12 player on the team.

Team USA will begin play Friday, July 5, as the team takes on members of the Matsuyama Industrial League. Team USA will begin a series against a series against Team Japan Saturday, July 6, before returning to the United States to play Team Cuba.
