COVID-19 impacted Sharpe's first year, but he didn't let that hold him back from achieving so much as a Horned Frog.

Frogs beat Islanders 7-4

TCU baseball took a 7-4 victory over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Saturday night.

The Frogs entered the eighth with a two-run lead, but the Islanders tied 4-4 during the bottom of the inning. 

TCU quickly regained their lead in the top of the ninth. Cody Jones worked a walk, stole second, and moved to third on an errant throw, according to GoFrogs.com. Connor Castellano hit a double to left, giving the Frogs a 5-4 lead, according to GoFrogs.com.

 Boomer White got a walk, followed by stolen bases by Castellano and White. This left the Frogs in scoring position with two outs, according to GoFrogs.com. Derek Odell then hit a two-run single into left field.

According to GoFrogs,com, the Islanders failed to catch up, getting no extra runs in the ninth. 

The Kleberg Bank Classic will wrap Sunday at noon when TCU plays UTSA.

According to GoFrogs.com, Tyler Alexander will make his second career start for the Horned Frogs.
