Chancellor Victor Boschini sent a personal message to students Monday morning, officially ringing in the 2014-2015 academic school year.

The Chancellor summarized the 2014 Summer’s accomplishments and hinted at future developments on campus, coining the era as TCU’s “renaissance.”

The video message highlighted the accomplishments of TCU’s study abroad programs, the success of Frog Baseball’s College Series run, and an overview of the numerous camps and events held on campus over the summer.

Boschini also introduced the first phase of the new library entrance, the finishing touches to Rees-Jones Hall, and the anticipated 2015 completion to the Annie Richardson Bass Building renovation.

The progress is a testament of Boschini’s 11-year impact at TCU.

In that span of time, the university has experienced rapid growth in graduation numbers as well as a $35.4 million increase in revenue, all confirming the reasons why TCU is now placed among Forbes Magazine’s “10 Top Colleges to Watch.”
