Student reports attempted abduction on University Drive

Two males attempted to abduct a female student walking with her dad last night on University Drive, according to a crime alert sent to students early Sunday morning.

The crime alert states the student was walking a few feet ahead of her dad when a car pulled up next to the woman and called out at her. The passenger in the car then got out and tried to grab the student.

According to the alert, her dad stepped in-between the student and the man told him that he needed to keep driving. The man got back into to the car and drove north down University Drive.

The crime alert describes the man as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’10” tall, 185 pounds and having short black hair.

Students are encouraged to be aware of their surroundings and call campus police to report suspicious activity.
