TCU ranked No. 4 in the College Football Playoff Rankings

If the season ended today, TCU would be in the inaugural College Football Playoff.

The Horned Frogs jumped to No. 4 in the College Football Playoff Rankings Tuesday night, giving TCU the last spot in the coveted top four.

TCU was ranked No. 6 in last weeks CFP rankings, but the committee decided to reward the Frogs after a 41-20 win over No. 7 Kansas State.

TCU leapfrogged Alabama, which was ranked fifth in last week’s rankings, despite the Crimson Tide’s overtime win over LSU in Death Valley.

Undefeated Florida State fell to No. 3, with Oregon taking the No. 2 spot after a win over Utah this past weekend.

Mississippi State holds on to the top spot in the rankings for the third straight week.

Auburn fell from No. 3 to No. 9 after losing to unranked Texas A&M.

Baylor moved up from No. 12 to No. 7, but is still ranked behind Alabama and Arizona State.

In the top 5, No. 1 Mississippi State will face No. 5 Alabama this weekend.

TCU will travel to Kansas to take on the Jayhawks at 2 p.m. this Saturday.
