TCU basketball advances to 6-0 after win against Bradley

TCU remains undefeated after a 57-49 win over Bradley on Friday at the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic.

The Horned Frogs found a way to defeat the Braves after a tense second half, moving 6-0 on the season. The last time TCU held this record was in their 1997-98 campaign.

Leading the team to victory, Kenrich Williams took a key three late into the game. After the game was tied at 44-44, Williams was also responsible for scoring seven of the Frogs’ next nine points with only about seven minutes remaining in the game.

The two TCU players in double-figures were both Williams and Kyan Anderson, scoring 10 points each.

Chris Washburn, who dropped nine points during the game, found Williams and passed him the ball to give TCU a two-point advantage after being tied at 44-44 in the second half.

The Frogs were then at a 48-44 lead after Karviar Shepherd scored two free throws. Soon after, Williams knocked down a triple, taking the score to 51-44 with 3:58 left in the game.

The Braves were able to make it a 51-47 game after scoring a triple. However, Williams made a dunk on the offensive end, moving the score to 53-47.

The Frogs’ remaining four points were made after key free throws.

With tonight’s win, TCU will continue to play in the Coastal Classic Saturday against Mississippi State at 6 p.m.
