TCU Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Chris del Conte announced that the women’s head volleyball coach Prentice Lewis will not return next season, according to a press release sent on Dec. 1.

Abigail Norman, assistant media relations director, confirmed that like Lewis, associate head coach Jason Tanaka and assistant coach Lauren Otto will not be returning.

“We very much appreciate the contributions Prentice made to TCU and our volleyball program over the last 13 years,” Del Conte said in the press release. “However, we have not reached the level of success that we expect, and it’s time for a change in the leadership of our volleyball program,”

The volleyball team finished with an overall record of 17-15. In conference play, they finished 6-10.

The team won 13 games at home and two away games.

According to the release, a national search will begin immediately for a new volleyball head coach.

The new coach will also oversee the sand volleyball program this spring.
