TCU defensive coordinator to retire

The Big 12’s best defense in 2014 is set to lose a mainstay next season.

TCU defensive coordinator Dick Bumpas is retiring after 11 years of coaching the Horned Frogs. Bumpas has been coaching for 38 years.

Bumpas coached the Horned Frogs to the No. 1 scoring and total defense in 2014. The Frogs went 12-1 and finished at a tie for first place in the Big 12.

It has not been announced when Bumpas will retire or who will replace him.
