The Frogs erased a 2-0 deficit to clinch the Baylor series Saturday afternoon while improving to 13-2 on the season.

Senior Preston Morrison improved to 4-0 with the win, but faced adversity in the first inning.

Baylor scored two runs in the first, but Morrison shut out the Bears for the rest of the game.

The TCU ace retired 17 of the next 20 batters he faced before giving way to Trey Teakell and Riley Ferrell, who closed out the victory.

Ferrell struck out the side in the ninth to record his seventh save of 2015.

Two RBI-singles from TCU’s Garrett Crain and Dane Steinhagen in the sixth inning tied the game at 2-2.

TCU scored the game-winning run in the seventh inning on a catcher’s interference.

A leadoff single from Nolan Brown and two walks loaded the bases for the Frogs, and a catcher’s interference on Evan Skoug’s groundout provided the final 3-2 scoreline.

The win is TCU’s ninth straight at home dating back to 2014.

Morrison is now No. 2 all-time at TCU in wins with 29, and is also second in innings pitched with more than 380. He turned down a shot at professional baseball to return for his senior season in 2015.

The Frogs return to the diamond Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m. where they will look to sweep the season series with Baylor.
