After shutting out Texas Tech 8-0 on Thursday night, the No. 1 TCU baseball team couldn’t figure out Texas Tech’s defense Friday afternoon, losing 5-1.

Senior pitcher Preston Morrison earned his first loss of the season after allowing five runs on seven hits. Morrison, the reigning Big 12 Pitcher of the Year, won his first six starts of the Frogs’ 2015 campaign.

With the loss, TCU falls to 22-6 overall and 5-3 in Big 12 play. They’ll try to win the season series against the Red Raiders on Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
