Mueller report reveals Trump’s reaction to special councils appointment

In May 2017 when Donald Trump learned that Deputy Attorney General Rob Rosenstein had appointed a special council he slumped back in his chair and said, “”Oh my God. This is terrible. This is the end of my Presidency. I’m fu***d,” according to CNN.

He then took that anger out on then-Attorney General Jeff Sessions asking him how he could let this happen and asking him to resign for not protecting the president.

Mueller was appointed following the firing of FBI director James Comey to look into Russian interference in the 2016 election as well as any ties to the Trump campaign along with whether or not Trump obstructed justice.

Possible cause determined in Notre Dame Cathedral fire

Investigators now believe that an electrical short was what sparked the massive fire in Paris although investigators have not been cleared to go and search the rubble yet due to safety concerns, according to Fox News.

There are already more than 50 investigators working on trying to determine the cause and the process could be very long and drawn out even though it is believed to have been an accident.

Since the fire, there have been more than $1 billion of donations that have come in from all around the world. French President Emmanuel Macron has set a goal to have it rebuilt even more beautifully in five years.

National Enquirer to be sold to James Cohen

The CEO of Hudson news, James Cohen, will buy the tabloid that had been a huge supporter of President Donald trump in the 2016 election for $100 million, according to The Washington Post.

The decision to sell the paper came due to pressure from the hedge fund manager who’s firm controls American Media Incorporated, the owner of the company, after becoming disappointed with the reporting tactics used by the tabloid. David Pecker was in charge of overseeing the reporting but Pecker was also a long time friend of Donald Trump.

The Enquirer was under lots of public scrutiny for two major things in recent history, trying to tilt the results of the 2016 presidential election and its public feud with Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos.

AMI was also concerned about the legal risk that had to do with some of the actions from Pecker and others during the 2016 presidential campaign.

BMW adding more vehicles to 2017 recall

BMW is adding approximately 185,000 cars to the recall that was initially put out in 2017 due to concern around possible engine fires, according to NBC News.

In a letter to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, BMW said that moisture could cause some plastic parts to deteriorate creating the possibility of an electrical short. A fore could start even if the car is not on.

At first BMW recommended that cars be parked outside until it was figured out, but with this latest recall they are up to 925,000 vehicles that could have this issue.

Dealers will replace the heater free of charge. The recall is set to begin May 28.

North Korea sends clear message with latest missile test

After failing to reach a deal with President Trump, North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un is putting more pressure on the United States by resuming his visits to military units and weapons sites, according to The New York Times.

Jong-un gave a rare policy speech to the North Korean people and told them to not expect sanctions to be lifted anytime soon. He also said that he would consider meeting with Trump again.

The United States, South Korea, and Japan all have declined to comment on what type of missile was launched in the latest test, but the projectile covered a short range and flew so low that it could not be picked up by US radar, unnamed defense sources told South Korean news agency Yonhap.

Suspect arrested in NYC cathedral had one-way ticket booked to Italy

A 37-year-old man was arrested in St. Patrick’s cathedral in New York City after entering carrying two cans of gasoline, lighter fluid and butane lighters, according to CBS News.

Marc Lamparello, a college teacher, had also been arrested in a cathedral in New Jersey earlier this week. He has no know ties to any terrorist groups said John Miller, the New York Police Department’s deputy commissioner of intelligence and counterterrorism.

Surveillance video showed Lamparello circling the cathedral for about and hour before parking and walking around on foot. He then returned to his vehicle and grabbed the gas tanks. When he entered he was stopped by a security guard who then notified counterterrorism officers.

Lamparello is being charged with attempted arson, reckless endangerment and trespassing
