The Frogs will head to Charlottesville, Va., to take on the Virginia Cavaliers in the 2009 football season, said Jack Hesselbrock. associate athletics director for internal operations.
He also said Texas State and SMU have been finalized for the Frogs’ two non-conference home games.
Playing Virginia on the road leaves one more non-conference opponent to be determined, and Hesselbrock said he has been in close contact with the Ohio State University Buckeyes. Hesselbrock said the game against Ohio State is not official, but the administration is still working things out.
TCU is 11-3 in its last 14 games against teams from conferences with automatic BCS bids: Oklahoma this season, Texas in 2007 and Texas Tech in 2004 are the only losses. The stretch started with a win at Northwestern on Sept. 7, 2002, when TCU won 48-24.
