Starr Crawford, TCU's leading returning scorer, will not play the 2011-2012 season due to a recent concussion, according to Athletic Media Relations Assistant Director Matt Hoover.
Head Coach Jeff Mittie will host a media day tomorrow at the Meyer-Martin Club on campus.
The junior forward was last season's leading rebounder, and was the only player in the Mountain West to average a double-double. She finished the year averaging 12.7 points and 10 rebounds per game.
The injury is a big blow to the Frogs, who are the preseason favorites to win the MWC. Crawford has been a starter for both of her years on campus.
Without Crawford, the frontcourt loses a lot of experience. Freshmen post players Ashley Tolbert and Chelsea Prince will likely see playing time next to junior forward Delisa Gross.
